We’re nearly at the end of Pride Month, but our commitment doesn’t end. Our latest podcast is a taste of episodes to come in Redcar, and in it we platform a lot of queer voices and explore lots of gender identify issues with the young people of the Blooming Youth collective.

Growing Up A Girl… is an intergenerational podcast project for Teesside and beyond. We know some may grow up mistaken for a girl, but come to identify quite differently. We know some may have to transition before they can experience girlhood and womanhood. And we know that challenges exist for all girls and women – so we reckon we should talk, listen, understand and support one another!

Listen along to be moved, amused and informed by the lively mix of real chat and spoken word poetry, all brought together by our hosts – “northern matriarch” Dianne Casey and “slightly anxious feminist” Sarah Crutwell.
