This summer, the sisterhood are sharing our expertise and passion via our first ever Spoken Word Boot Camp – six Saturday afternoon masterclasses at Middlesbrough Town Hall designed to take poets from the very beginnings of writing for performance, all the way through to a special family-and-friends showcase in August.

There are 10 spaces on the Boot Camp.
You must be 18 or over, but there is no upper age limit.
Places are available to cis women, trans women, and gender-diverse poets who are comfortable in a space that centres women.
This opportunity is open to poets who have never written or performed with us before, and also to existing members of the TWP who feel they need a boost to get back up to speed after Covid disrupted our live performance mojo.
The training is free, but by application only – to apply please email us 2 poems.
